Bugatti sous le regard de Rob Roy in 1994

This book tells the adventure of Ettore Bugatti (1881-1947), of its beginnings in a family of artiste to its victories at the 24 hours of Mans, through the many watercolours that Rob Roy devoted to this genius of the automobile sport. Each table is replaced in its historical context, and the style of Rob Roy translates speed, the movement of the cars, as well as the environment which reigned on the circuits of the time. 24 Hours of Le Mans sous le regard de Rob Roy en 1998

. In this book of Art and History, 17 years of 24 Hours tests of Mans, of 1926 to 1959 are recalled.
To each race, one or more watercolours of ROB ROY as of the new photographs of time come to illustrate an English and French text, rich in anecdotes where the passion of the competition is always present.
The 24 Hours of Mans enjoyed a reputation such as came to clash there, on exceptional cars, the largest pilots of the world. This work was carried out in co-operation with the “Automobile Club de l’Ouest”

The book recaptures in its entirety the original text and illustrations by Robert de la Rivière (1901-1992), aka Rob Roy.
